En fait cette comparaison tient moyennement debout dans le sens ou elle permet de dire que l'islande est particulièrement inspirée mais pas que la wallonie l'est moins qu'une bonne partie du reste du monde.

En effet, on peu sortir bcp de pays avec des millions d'habitants qui n'ont pas sorti grand chose de valable sur la scène internationale.

Si la wallonie n'a jamais rien fait de bien c'est p ê qu'elle manque d'identité.

Les gauff' au suc' et stella sont finalement p ê les représentants les plus typiques de la wallonie. Ce qui est un peu triste à dire.

La musique en anglais faite par des non anglophones reste un peu balbutiante.

Au fil des ans, beaucoup de monde. A; grumh est souvent oublié ou moqué et Dole passe pour un glorieux ancêtre de la vague pop. Alors que, bon...

Tant qu'à parler post-punk, indus, années 80 et Wallonie, je voudrais d'ailleurs pointer une autre comparaison, que je pense beaucoup plus pertinente que celle avec Islande.

Comparez le Sheffield et le Manchester fin 70/80 au Charleroi/Liège de la même époque. Et puis se demander pourquoi là et pas ici alors que c'était quasi pareil socio-économico-démographico-cuturello-blablabla...

Je me demande si le problème vient du fait que nous n'avons pas de talents dans nos contrées ou est-ce parce que nous ne nous donnons pas les moyens de les promouvoir ? Je ne parle pas de sousous, mais bien de véritables scènes, revues culturelles de qualité, journalistes musicaux fédérateurs, studios et labels compétents...

Bah, d'expérience, je te confirme qu'il existe un traitement de faveur dans les médias belges envers les groupes locaux et pourtant, ça ne change pas grand-chose.

Donc, la réponse à ta question, c'est un peu un melting pot de toutes les pistes que tu évoques, je pense...

Heureusement, la Wallonie a de bon cover-bands qui reprennent des groupes irlandais.

J'étais le seul à connaître à la table, du coup elle était toute folle et elle a dénudé son épaule pour nous montrer son tatouage qui prouvait bien qu'elle ne plaisantait pas. Moi pour lui faire plaisir, j'ai pris un schweppes agrum' mais on s'en fiche, c'est pas important. Ce que je voulais surtout dire c'est que je trouve que vous n'êtes pas très cultivé dans l'ensemble parce que personne n'a pensé à mentionner les deux artistes pop-rock wallon qui représentent le mieux notre terroir sud-belgicain sur la scène internationale, j'ai nommé : Sandra Kim et Urban Trad, hé oui !

Björk et Sigur Ros vendent une image de l'Islande. Cliquez sur play, fermez les yeux, vous aurez des chances de vous faire chier et de trouver ça casse-couille, mais sans trop d'effort, avec la plupart des morceaux, vous pourrez aussi avoir une image de l'Islande dans votre tête.

Pareil pour la plupart des groupes de Paris dont la presse cause : ils vendent une image de vie de hipster.

Les groupes wallons pourront faire tous les efforts du monde, ils seront au mauvais endroit au mauvais moment, à vendre une image dont le reste de la planète s'en bat les couilles.

En Wallonie, tu as un million d'électeurs PS qui tirent tout vers le bas depuis cinquante ans, y compris dans le domaine de la culture... Cette région n'est pas qu'en lourd déclin économique, elle est aussi sinistrée intellectuellement.

En écoutant Milk les yeux fermés, vous devriez apercevoir l'image d'une place pavée remplie de gars très ronds avec des plumes sur la tête qui balancent des oranges dans tous les sens.

Björk et Sigur Ros en Islande ; Ikea en Suède : les exemples de réussite ne manquent pas dans le Nord. Les wallons Meubles Mailleux ne font pas d'ombre au géant suédois.

Déjà, ils mangent des boulets et des chiclets et lavent leurs casseroles avec un torchon de vaisselle, c'est dire si ce sont des gens bizarres.

Namur, c'est vrai que sa vie nocturne et sa scène musicale, on les envie de Paris à New York en passant par Tokyo et Berlin.

Ah mais attention : Namur est et doit rester mort le soir, même et surtout au niveau des bistrots. Vox populi, vox dei. Il n'y reste à vrai dire que des magasins de chaussures, ce qui, selon Douglas Adams, lui assurera immanquablement le destin de Frogstar B.

L'extrème droite, elle, fait consciemment le choix de se limiter aux données (pseudo-) culturelles pour pouvoir émettre un message clair à son électorat.
